Final Transition Update

Hi everyone,

The transition process for scat content on ThisVid has now reached its final stage.

As of today, all affected videos have been moved into a non-viewable state and are no longer accessible to viewers under any circumstances, including through direct links or friend access.

In addition, the affected categories and related browsing pages have now been removed from the site. This content is no longer discoverable through ThisVid.

Creator s

We understand that creators may still wish to retain copies of their own content.

The ability for creators to and back up their affected videos will be added within the next few days.

Once this feature becomes available, creators will have three weeks to their own files.

After this period ends, all remaining affected scat content will be permanently removed from ThisVid's infrastructure.

All affected videos and photo albums have now been moved from Public to Private status.

They are now only accessible to s who have been approved as friends by the er.

Will ThisVid become a paid site?

No. ThisVid will remain free to use.

Can I affected content under a different category?

No.

ing content from these categories under other categories, using misleading tags, titles, or descriptions, or otherwise attempting to by these restrictions will result in suspension.

Phase 1 Update

Hi everyone,

We have now officially started Phase 1 of the transition process for scat and certain extreme content categories on ThisVid.

As of today, affected videos are no longer publicly accessible to logged-out visitors and are now available only to ed ThisVid s.

This is a temporary intermediate step. In the nearest future, affected videos will transition to standard Private Video status and will only be viewable by s approved as friends by the er.

We have also disabled editing for affected videos. Titles, descriptions, tags, categories, privacy settings, and files can no longer be modified. However, creators may still delete their own videos if they choose.

Common Questions

Will creators be able to their content?

Yes. We will provide creators with the ability to and back up their own videos before any permanent removals take place.

Why not make all videos public so people can archive them?

We cannot do this for legal and privacy reasons. Many videos were originally ed with private access settings, and we must respect er privacy choices.

Will other categories be affected?

At this time, we are not planning any large-scale additional changes beyond the categories already mentioned. If any other categories are affected in the future, notices will be posted directly within those categories.

We understand that many s are unhappy with these changes, and we know this situation is deeply disappointing for a large part of the community.

Important Update Regarding Scat and Certain Extreme Content on ThisVid

Hi everyone,

Today we need to share an important update regarding scat content and certain other extreme content on ThisVid.

Over the past month, many of you have already noticed that new s in these categories have been disabled. This was the first step in a larger transition that we now want to explain openly and transparently.

After extensive discussions with our legal, compliance, infrastructure, and business partners, we have been informed that certain categories of extreme content can no longer remain publicly available on ThisVid in their current form.

To be completely transparent: we were faced with a difficult choice.

Either:

  • continue operating ThisVid while phasing out publicly accessible scat and certain extreme content,

or

  • risk the long-term ability of ThisVid to continue existing at all.

As difficult as this decision has been, protecting ThisVid, its creators, its viewers, and the broader community had to come first.

We want to make one thing absolutely clear: this decision is based on legal and operational requirements. It is not a judgment of creators, viewers, personal preferences, fetishes, or the communities built around this content. We know these categories have a ionate and long-standing community here, and we deeply respect that.

Because of that, this transition will happen gradually over approximately the next 90 days, followed by an extended creator-only archive period.

Phase 1: Public to Private Migration

Starting soon

All existing videos in affected categories will be moved from Public to Private status.

As many of you know, on ThisVid, private videos remain available to s who are approved as friends by the creator.

During this phase:

  • No new s in affected categories are allowed.
  • Existing public videos will be converted to Private.
  • Creators retain full ownership and access.
  • Existing friend-based communities can continue accessing this content.

This phase is designed to avoid sudden disruption while giving creators and viewers time to adapt.

Phase 2: Category Removal

Approximately 30-60 days from now

The affected categories will be removed from ThisVid's public interface.

This means:

  • Category pages will be removed.
  • Category browsing will be disabled.
  • Search, recommendations, and discovery for affected content will be disabled.

However:

  • Existing direct video links will continue to work.
  • Approved friends will still be able to access private videos through direct access.

At this stage, content will no longer be discoverable through the platform, but existing communities can continue accessing it.

Phase 3: Viewer Access Sunset

Approximately within 90 days

Access to affected content will be removed for viewers, including friends and followers.

At this stage:

  • Videos will no longer be viewable by the public or by private audiences.
  • Direct links will stop working for viewers.
  • Affected content will enter creator-only archive status.

However:

  • Creators will still retain access to their own content.
  • Creators will still be able to their videos and archive their files.

Phase 4: Creator Archive Period

For an additional 3-6 months after Phase 3

To ensure nobody loses their work without sufficient notice:

  • Affected videos will remain stored securely by ThisVid.
  • Only the original creators will have access.
  • Creators will be able to and back up their content.

After this archive period ends, permanently removing the affected content from ThisVid's infrastructure may become necessary.

Specific final dates will be announced well in advance.

We understand that some of this community will feel disappointed, frustrated, or concerned. Please know this decision was not made lightly. We explored every realistic alternative, and ultimately the choice came down to adapting these categories - or putting the future of ThisVid itself at risk.

We understand that this update may raise questions and concerns.

However, we kindly ask that you do not ThisVid or use the form regarding this policy, appeals, or exception requests.

Our team is currently fully focused on managing this transition and keeping ThisVid running smoothly, and unfortunately we will not be able to respond to individual messages about these changes.

Please understand that sending messages or appeals will not change this decision.
